The German Wine Society is a national organization dedicated to improving knowledge of German wines and conducting events at which these wines are shared and appreciated.  The Society is private, educational and not for profit; it is represented in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chapter, which is run by a 5-person volunteer board elected by members.

Members of the San Francisco Chapter comprise a diverse group of individuals and couples, as well as members of the trade, who share a love of German wine. Tasting events are held throughout the year. Guests are always welcome and may attend a first event at the lower members' price.
